Green Chile Cheeseburger - Low Carb, Keto, Gluten-Free

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (grass fed, I use 80/20)
  • 4 slices red onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3/4 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (grass fed, I use 80/20)
  • 4 slices Marble Jack cheese
  • 1 clove garlic (grass fed, I use 80/20)
  • 1 can green chile (grass fed, I use 80/20)
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise (grass fed, I use 80/20)
  • iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  • Mix ground beef with 1/4 tbsp cumin, chili powder, chopped garlic, hot sauce and green chiles.
  • Mix thoroughly and portion into four large patties.
  • -Melt cooking fat (coconut oil, butter or ghee) in grill pan or heavy bottom saute pan over medium heat.
  • Cook burger patties in grill pan to desired doneness.
  • -Mix mayo with remaining 1/2 tbsp cumin and stir to thoroughly combine.
  • -Top burger patties with a slice of cheese and a slice of red onion.
  • Top with a spoonful of cumin mayo and wrap in a leaf of lettuce.
