- 1/4 cup tomato sauce (El Pato Hot Style, —or plain no-sugar-added Hunt's Tomato Sauce)
- 1/4 cup Walden Farms Ketchup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 dashes worchestershire
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (El Pato Hot Style, —or plain no-sugar-added Hunt's Tomato Sauce)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper (El Pato Hot Style, —or plain no-sugar-added Hunt's Tomato Sauce)
- 1 pinch dried thyme leaves
- 1 pinch dried leaves oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon xanthan gum
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl.
- Stir until well combined.
- Cover and nuke 1 minute on high.
- Stir.
- Cover and nuke 30 seconds.
- Stir, scraping down the sides, well.
- Nuke another 30 seconds.
- Remove from microwave, stir and is the sauce too thin? If so, dust in the xanthan gum and stir like crazy to prevent clumping.
- Sauce should thicken up, perfectly.
- Ole! Enjoy! Store in an airtight container up to a week or freeze up to 3 months.
