Chop the pumpkin and cauliflower into uniform sized pieces.
Move the pumpkin and cauliflower into a saucepan and cover with water and a generous pinch of salt.
Place the saucepan on the stove top on a medium to high heat.
Bring up the boil and simmer until the pumpkin and cauliflower are soft and easily mashable.
Drain and pour over some cream and add some butter.
Depending how creamy you want it will determine how much you add.
Mash with a potato masher until smooth and creamy
