Ingredients

  • 12 crimini mushrooms ((baby bella or white mushrooms))
  • 8 oz bacon
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 7 oz cream cheese
  • 4 tbsp jalapeno chilies ((baby bella or white mushrooms))
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese ((baby bella or white mushrooms))
  • 1 tsp ground paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F Fry bacon until crispy Let cool on plate – then crush the bacon Leave bacon fat in pan Remove the stems from the mushrooms – set mushrooms on a greased baking dish Finely chop the mushroom stems Add in chopped stems and butter, saute In a small bowl, mix in the stems and bacon with the cream cheese, jalapenos, shredded cheese, paprika, and salt and pepper Spoon mixture into the mushrooms Bake for 20 minutes
  2. These are practically gone before I even remove them from the oven.
  3. They are so delicious, no one misses the carbs – that’s what makes this the perfect low carb keto appetizer, in my humble opinion.
  4. I think I probably make these once a week! And, if you share them at a party, make sure you bring some recipe cards, because everyone will be asking for it! Hope you enjoy as much as I do!
