Italian Flavored Compound Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic ((crushed))
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 4 oz unsalted butter ((crushed))

Instructions

  1. Let the butter soften to room temperature in a medium bowl.
  2. Finely mince the crushed garlic clove.
  3. Add the garlic, parsley, oregano, thyme, red wine vinegar, salt, and pepper to the softened butter.
  4. Mix everything together thoroughly with a fork until all the herbs and seasonings are evenly distributed.
  5. Spoon the compound butter onto a sheet of plastic wrap and roll into a log shape.
  6. Twist the ends to seal and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
  7. Slice into rounds and serve on top of steaks, chicken, or vegetables.
