Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup tomato sauce ((El Pato Hot Style, —or plain no-sugar-added Hunt's Tomato Sauce))
  • 1/4 cup Walden Farms Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 dashes worchestershire
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce ((El Pato Hot Style, —or plain no-sugar-added Hunt's Tomato Sauce))
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 3/4 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/8 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/8 tsp cayenne
  • 1/8 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper ((El Pato Hot Style, —or plain no-sugar-added Hunt's Tomato Sauce))
  • 1 pinch dried thyme leaves
  • 1 pinch dried leaves oregano
  • 1/4 tsp xanthan gum

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a microwave safe bowl.
  2. Stir until well combined.
  3. Cover and nuke 1 minute on high.
  4. Stir.
  5. Cover and nuke 30 seconds.
  6. Stir, scraping down the sides, well.
  7. Nuke another 30 seconds.
  8. Remove from microwave, stir and is the sauce too thin? If so, dust in the xanthan gum and stir like crazy to prevent clumping.
  9. Sauce should thicken up, perfectly.
  10. Ole! Enjoy! Store in an airtight container up to a week or freeze up to 3 months.
