Preheat oven to 400°F
Fry bacon until crispy
Let cool on plate – then crush the bacon
Leave bacon fat in pan
Remove the stems from the mushrooms – set mushrooms on a greased baking dish
Finely chop the mushroom stems
Add in chopped stems and butter, saute
In a small bowl, mix in the stems and bacon with the cream cheese, jalapenos, shredded cheese, paprika, and salt and pepper
Spoon mixture into the mushrooms
Bake for 20 minutes
These are practically gone before I even remove them from the oven.
They are so delicious, no one misses the carbs – that’s what makes this the perfect low carb keto appetizer, in my humble opinion.
