Green Chile Cheeseburger - Low Carb, Keto, Gluten-Free

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef ((grass fed, I use 80/20))
  • 4 slice red onion
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil ((grass fed, I use 80/20))
  • 4 slice Marble Jack cheese
  • 1 clove garlic ((grass fed, I use 80/20))
  • 1 can green chile ((grass fed, I use 80/20))
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise ((grass fed, I use 80/20))
  • iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  1. Mix ground beef with 1/4 tbsp cumin, chili powder, chopped garlic, hot sauce and green chiles.
  2. Mix thoroughly and portion into four large patties.
  3. -Melt cooking fat (coconut oil, butter or ghee) in grill pan or heavy bottom saute pan over medium heat.
  4. Cook burger patties in grill pan to desired doneness.
  5. -Mix mayo with remaining 1/2 tbsp cumin and stir to thoroughly combine.
  6. -Top burger patties with a slice of cheese and a slice of red onion.
  7. Top with a spoonful of cumin mayo and wrap in a leaf of lettuce.
